Open Letter to Regina's City Council - Re: Taxi Study

Author: Colin Craig 2010/09/01

Previously, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) highlighted the Regina Taxi Study and the many problems with the report's recommendations.

Today, the CTF sent a letter (click here to view) to all members of council for consideration on the matter.

Given the report calls for the City to regulate the appearance of cab drivers, the age of their vehicles, the dispatch technology used by cab companies and a 467% hike in cab fees to the city, you can see why we recommended council reject the report. Hopefully they will listen.

A Note for our Readers:

Is Canada Off Track?

Canada has problems. You see them at gas station. You see them at the grocery store. You see them on your taxes.

Is anyone listening to you to find out where you think Canada’s off track and what you think we could do to make things better?
